新しい言葉を造るための語尾には、-rati と -ista のほか、-holic や -licious がある。
-holic は alcoholic （アルコール依存症の人）から切り取られた。その alcoholic は元々 alcohol + -ic から出来ているので、 -holic は語幹の一部と語尾から造られた奇妙な語尾だと言える。いずれにしても、『ルミナス英和辞典』には次のようなよく知られた見出し語がある。
その他に、chargeaholic、icecreamaholic、mariholic、negaholic、netaholic、sexaholicなどが KOD に載っている。
-licious は delicious に由来する語尾であるが、どうも lubricious（みだらな, 挑発的な）の影響も受けているようだ。KODには次の言葉が載っている。
もう一つの上品ではない語尾は -tard であるが、それについては後日語ることにする。

bootylicious 《俗》 《特に女のヒップが》セクシー[豊満]な, 色っぽい, ナイスバディ[ムチムチ]の《booty と delicious の合成語; 特に米国の黒人女性ボーカルグループ Destiny's Child のヒット曲 ‘Bootylicious' (ブーティリシャス, 2001) で広まった》.
niggalicious 《米》《黒人俗》 《黒人女性が》体格の良い, いい体をした, ナイスバディの.

また語尾の話。-ista は、スペイン語で英語の -ist（「…を奉ずる人」「…主義者」など）に当たる。そのため、英語では従来、スペイン語圏政治家の支持者を指してきた。次の言葉は KOD に載っている。
Fidelista カストロ主義者.そして、米国などの政治家の支持者の意味でも使うようになった。例えば、
Peronista ペロン主義者, ペロニスタ.
Sandinista サンディニスタ《1979 年ニカラグアのソモサ (Somoza) 政権を倒した民族解放戦線 (the Sandinista National Liberation Front) のメンバー》.
Clintonista (2007年の用例： "The Clintonistas and some of their chums in the elite media want you to think that Hillary Clinton actually got the better of Barack Obama in their recent scrape over the comments by movie/music mogul and Obama supporter David Geffen.")もっともポピュラーな -ista 語は fashionista である。これは KOD で「最新のファッションのデザイナー[仕掛け人]; 最新ファッションを追いかける人.」として定義されている。初出典は、 Stephen Fried の Thing of Beauty: The Tragedy of Supermodel Gia (1993) のようだ。
Obamista (2009年の用例： "One wonders if the Obamistas have already purged themselves from the Terrorist Watch List")

(p. 100)その他に、様々な流行を追う人を指す stylista や foodista も造語されているが、昨今の景気を表す frugalista や recessionista （不況の中で節約しようとしている fashionista）は特に面白い。

要するに、 datarati は、現在膨大に存在するデータをうまく検索・整理して、それに基づいて優れた決断ができる人たちである。

lexicorati は存在しなかったようなので、今ここでそれを造語する。どうぞご利用ください。
辞書のために新項目を探すとき、サブカルチャー由来の言葉を載せるべきかどうかはいつも悩みの種になる。新しい俗語はすぐ廃れるかもしれないし、使いつづけられたとしても、辞典収録に相応しいような一般性をいつまでも持ちつづけるとは限らないからだ。
この「ことばのくも」は辞書ではないので、躊躇なく新しいサブカル用語を紹介する。今回の出典は、６月14日の 『ロサンジェルス・タイムズ』にあった、"Fledgling jerkin' culture styles its unique dance, music: In the hands -- and feet -- of young, urban kids, krumping and clowning make an evolutionary leap" という記事。内容は、ロスでブレーク寸前の黒人ダンスと音楽。この記事で私が知らなかった言葉、または辞書の追加候補にしたい言葉は下記のとおり。

先日、ある出版社の編集者からのメールで「リアル書店」という言葉を初めて見た。これは「（空想の世界の書店に対して）現実に存在している書店」ではなく、「（オンライン書店に対して）実店舗の書店」だ。
「リアル書店」は「固定電話」と同様に、以前から存在している物事を指すために新しく造られた言葉だ。このような言葉をレトロニム（retronym）という。昔はすべてのギターがアコースティックだったので、エレキ・ギターの出現で初めて「アコースティック・ギター」というレトロニムが生まれた、などのように。
英語では「リアル書店」の意味で a real bookstore と言わなくもないが、 a brick-and-mortar bookstore （煉瓦とモルタルで作られた書店）や a physical bookstore のほうが広く使われているようだ。
