Several Kenyan companies have been bought by the Chinese, raising concerns about a loss of local control.
Today, America joins with Russia and the European countries to enjoy Daylight Saving Time. A couple of South American countries go along, but all of Africa and Asia pretty much ignore it. The Japanese don't care one way or the other.
Just as Americans might think of a sea of people on bicycles when imagining life in China, the Chinese have an image of our transportation that symbolizes something unique about us: the yellow school bus.
If ever there was a time to realise that the Americans don't always do things better, it is now and I was reminded of this again recently when I happened to receive an invitation to attend a 'Greener by Design' Conference in San Francisco for some time in May.
